The trees sit
They are patient and kind

Evolve

They want love too
The bird visits

The insects crawl
They know the tree
It’s tiny, private parts

The slug and spiders

They visit the tree
And share their story

The Universe speaks in a
language we are too loud and busy to hear

She drops her leaves when the sun
No longer feeds them
She accepts this
And goes to sleep

In several months, she will be bigger
the roots begin to uproot the sidewalk
She’s ready
And happy
She welcomes
The new beginning
