I Love New York City and It’s Many Wonders!

I visited The Whitney Museum last week.  I was blown away by the photography.  So poignant, nostalgic, sad…..so much of it a reflection of the underbelly of our society.  The Whitney is a very different museum from those “uptown” (The Whitney is in the meat-packing district) and is quite eclectic.  What’s especially nice is that once you leave The Whitney, blocks and blocks in the surrounding area are filled with quirky art galleries that welcome lookers!  Also, just across the street is the fantastic Gansevoort Market where you can get a taste of a variety of ethnic foods, organic, vegetarian foods at the many kiosks inside the market and then take your food to the tables placed outdoors on the cobblestone street (closed off to vehicles) to eat in the sunshine….I like to “people-watch” while I’m sitting.  People-watching is one of my favorite things to do in NYC….everyone is so different in some way….which I think is fabulous!

Get out and live my friends 🙂
